An oven fire in Garden Apartment 28 on campus Wednesday afternoon has led to the temporary relocation of 10 students. The sprinkler system extinguished the fire and there were no reported injuries.
However, because of water damage and the need to shut power off to several of the affected apartments, they cannot be reoccupied until it is deemed safe to do so.
The college is working to support the impacted students, providing temporary housing on campus, meal vouchers, and loaner laptops, as needed.
