When you are selecting textbooks for your Spring course, don’t forget about the wealth of free materials available in the library! The Ithaca College Library has an extensive collection of books, ebooks, full text articles, and media that can be linked directly to your course readings list, right in Canvas.
There are a couple of ways you can search and add library materials to your Course Readings in Canvas, but first you’ll need to enable Course Readings in your Canvas course navigation settings. Please check our updated guide on using Course Readings in Canvas.
Please Be Aware! Sometimes choosing the best resource to which to link can be tricky; for example, some ebooks have limits on their use; some are subscription titles that can be removed without notice. Check with your Subject Librarians (available by appointment, email, or chat); they can assist you with Course Readings in Canvas, help you find the perfect resources for your courses, and much more.
