Cornell's Affect and Cognition Lab recruiting participants for study

Researchers at Cornell University are studying the visual system and helping to explain why some people’s brains struggle to process visual information and light correctly and how colored filters can improve perception and brain function. If you are 18 years old or older, are bothered by bright lights, glare, or reading, you could be eligible to participate in this groundbreaking study. Study participants will have 2 on-site visits (approximately 8 weeks apart). The first visit will take place between December 4-6, 2021. During this visit, researchers will determine a specific colored filter that reduces your discomfort and difficulty with bright lights, glare and/or reading. In the second visit, you will receive a non-invasive fMRI brain scan to see how your visual system works. Each visit lasts approximately 2 hours. You will receive compensation for your participation.
