Asma Barlas, Professor Emerita of Politics, gave a keynote lecture (via Webex), "Classical Religious Authority, Qur’anic Exegesis, and Muslim Women: Challenges and Opportunities in the Digital Age," at the invitation of the Islamic Theology Program at Justus Liebig University, Giessen, Germany, on December 13. This was part of a lecture series to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Islamic theology program.
