2022 PARK SCHOOL STUDENT WRITING AWARDS - SEEKING SUBMISSIONS

The Park School Student Writing Awards recognize exceptional scholarly and creative writing by Park School students.

A panel of Park School Faculty will judge entries and award a $300 prize for the following three categories:

1.  Academic Essay (written for a Park School course)

2.  Journalistic article (written for a Park School course or a publication)

2.  Creative writing (a screenplay, teleplay, or script written for a Park School course)

ELIGIBILITY

1. Entrants must be current Park students for the 2021-2022 academic year.

2. Entries must have been written for a Park School class or a Park-related student media

   organization in the spring 2021, summer 2021, or fall 2021 semester.  

 

HOW TO ENTER

1. Park School students are highly encouraged to submit their own work. Entries may also be nominated or submitted by a Park faculty member OR a Park student media director. 

2. In addition to a .pdf of the submitted essay, article or script, please include a short statement (limited to one page, single space), specifying the Park School class or Park-related student media organization for which the submission was written.

3.  Park School faculty or student media directors nominating student work may include a statement about why this particular piece of writing is exceptional. 

4.  Please include the student’s name, telephone number, and email address on the first page of the essay or script.

5. Please e-mail your entry and short statement as a .pdf to:
