Sara Haefeli, School of Music, authored headnotes for the collection Interviews with American Composers: Barney Childs in Conversation, edited by Virginia Anderson. Dr. Haefeli also took over editing responsibilities for the collection after the unexpected passing of Anderson.
The collection includes twenty-three interviews recorded in 1972–73 with influential composers, most of whom were under 40 and writing in modernist or experimental styles.
Haefeli authored the headnote for the interview with the electronic music pioneer Joel Chadabe.
