It's baaaaaack! But you HAVE to sign up here to save yourself a Tu B'shevat DIY Succulent Planting Kit!
We are waiting until everyone is back on campus, so don't worry, we will save a succulent, potting materials, and Kosher Korner snacks for you. This event has two parts on Monday, January 31, once you have signed up
1) Pick up your planting kit at Muller Chapel between 10 am - 1 pm
2) Hop on Zoom to do some fun Tu B'shevat learning (think Jewish ecology with a Torah twist), plant and decorate your lil succulent baby, and eat our traditional foods together
Even though Tu B'shevat has passed while we were on break, we HAVE to celebrate... we just love it so much! What is Tu B'shevat? Tu B'Shvat is a Jewish holiday occurring on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat. It is also called Rosh HaShanah La'Ilanot, literally 'New Year of the Trees'. In contemporary Israel, the day is celebrated as an ecological awareness day, and trees are planted in celebration. On our campus we celebrate by planting the cutest little succulents, eating special holiday foods from Kosher Korner, and getting on Zoom to do some fun eco-Jewish text study.
Sign up here is required to reserve your cute little plant, the pot, and dirt to give it a home! Plus, some amazing treats to add to your Jewish learning experience! Sign up by filling out this form!
