One World Market, Inc., Ithaca’s Non-Profit, Fair Trade Store seeks board members to join a committed team of volunteers. Through the One World Market store, we ensure that artisans from communities all over the world are paid a living wage, while also being a living wage employer in the Tompkins County community. Our board members participate in monthly meetings to help set the strategic direction of the organization, sit on or chair an operational committee, help to staff our annual fair trade rug event, and serve as overall ambassadors within our community to promote and build awareness of fair trade.
While we welcome applicants with all backgrounds, we have identified the following skill sets as particularly desirable at this time:
- Legal
- Fund Raising & Grant Writing
- Technology
