Dan Taylor, Library Systems Specialist, to depart from Ithaca College

By Karin Wikoff, January 31, 2022

Please extend congratulations to Dan Taylor, our Library Systems Specialist, who has accepted a new position in instructional design at Cornell.

Dan has worked at the Ithaca College Library since he was a student library assistant here more than 20 years ago.  In his position as Library Systems Specialist, he helped shepherd us through some very exciting, positive changes, most notably the library system migration from Voyager to Alma, as well as leading the implementations of Primo (discovery layer) and Leganto (course readings system).

Dan was instrumental in strengthening our relations with IT and he contributed greatly to our positive reputation as a leader among our Ex Libris peer institutions.  It has been a pleasure to witness his growth across time as a professional and an effective and well-respected leader.

Dan’s last day will be February 7.  Join our colleagues in wishing him well; he and his contributions will be missed greatly.
