First WMN Event of the Semester! Women, Caregiving for Aging Family Members, and Self-Care

Virtual event-Thurs., Feb. 24th, 12:10pm. Amy Jackson, Aging Services Specialist & Caregiver Resource Center Coordinator, from the Tompkins County Office for the Aging. She will be presenting on "Women, Caregiving for Aging Family Members, and Self-Care".

Program overview:

1) Discussion of what the Tompkins County Office for the Aging offers, including caregiver services

2) Who is a Caregiver and what does that mean?

3) Stress and burnout – what does it do to you and those you’re caring for?

4) Self-care for caregivers – remembering you are important!

Amy's Bio:

Amy Jackson is an Aging Services Specialist and Caregiver Resources Coordinator at the Tompkins County Office for the Aging. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and has been a family caregiver for over 15 years. Amy provides Caregiver services including a weekly caregiver group discussion, limited individual caregiver counseling, and other support services for caregivers.
