The IC Grief Retreat for current students will be held Saturday, March 5 from 12-6pm and Sunday, March 6 from 9am to Noon on campus in Muller Chapel. This event is open to all students, and this is FREE to attend! Meals are provided throughout the course of the retreat. The purpose of this retreat is to help students who have experienced a death loss.
Join a cohort of your peers for an immersive exploration of your own grief while you simultaneously provide needed peer support for others. In this 1.5 day retreat students will:
- Meet other students who have experienced a death loss and have an opportunity to share as much about their story as they feel comfortable.
- Get support and learn about how to support one another after any significant loss through validation and normalization of feelings.
- Learn about resources available on and off campus to support grievers.
- Share opportunities to socialize with others with similar experiences on campus.
Students must register in advance for this retreat by completing the registration form on IC Engage. Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible and only if you plan to actually attend. This registration form will close on Sunday, February 27 or when the retreat fills, whichever happens first, so you are encouraged to register as soon as you are able!
