IMC student teams advance to national media planning competition semi-finals

By Lisa Farman, February 16, 2022

Two IMC student teams have been selected to advance to the semi-final round of the Washington Media Scholars Media Plan Case Competition, a contest that challenges students to use real-world data to design a strategic media plan based on a public policy issue.

Emily Guderian ('22) competed individually, and Linnea Carchedi ('23) and Holden Shatouhy ('23) competed as a team. After a double-blind review of media plan submissions from students across the country, both Ithaca College IMC student teams who entered were selected as semi-finalists! In the next round, they will compete for a chance to win the National Media Excellence award, an all-expenses-paid networking trip to Washington, D.C., and $18,500 in scholarships. The students' competition advisor is IMC professor Lisa Farman.

Congratulations, and good luck to all three IMC students in the semi-finals!
