This Thursday, 2/24/22! The Talking Circle: Body Image and Self Worth (Leading in a Diverse World)

By Brittany McCown, February 22, 2022

Presented by Amy Whitney (mental health counselor at CAPS) and Nancy Graham (Professional Relations Representative for The Renfrew Center of Northern NJ), the Ithaca College-Renfrew Center Talking Circle is a one-time event that encourages students to come together for an open discussion about body image and self-worth in the age of COVID-19 and social media.

What is a “Talking Circle”? Gloria Steinem defined this phrase in her 2015 memoir as “groups in which anyone may speak in turn, everyone must listen, and consensus is more important than time.” To facilitate "learning while listening."
