Poster for Talk

Walter Hannah is an IC math alumnus working as an atmospheric scientist and climate model developer for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory funded by the US Department of Energy. Walter’s work revolves around developing a “next generation” climate model that will produce more detailed and realistic climate projects. This talk will briefly go over basic principles of atmospheric science and modeling, and how these relate to predicting weather and climate. It will also discuss the current state of the field and some exciting developments that are on the horizon.
