The list features 20 pieces of music, ranging from the contemporary experimental rock band DakhaBrakha, to Yo Yo Ma, the Saturday Night Live cold open with the Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York, the Odessa National Academic Opera, a classical music flashmob in Trafalgar Square, violinist Vera Lytovchenko playing in a bomb shelter, a young Ukrainian girl singing “Let It Go,” Sting, Emanual Ax, Ukrainian Folk Song Army Remix, Vladimir Horowitz, Sergei Prokofiev, the Polyphony Project, and a Ukrainian military brass band playing at a bomb crater.

It is also a place where we hope to gather online short videos of musical interventions and events in solidarity with the people of Ukraine enduring the Russian war. Contributors to researching this list include David Earll (Music), Deborah Martin (Music , Vadim Serebryany (Music), and Patricia Zimmermann (Park).

This collaborative project emerged from the session "Russian Invasion of Ukraine," cosponsored by FLEFF and Ithaca College's Department of History. Faculty from across campus have joined the project to create resources on the Russian war in Ukraine.

In response to the Russian invasion we invite anyone from anywhere to contact us if you would like to join this project, suggest titles, develop a list on a topic we have not covered, or add information. Please contact FLEFF Director Patricia Zimmermann at patty@ithaca.edu
