Come to the Handwerker Gallery this Thursday (3/24) at 1:10 for a conversation with Bay-area artist Chirag Bhakta, aka *PardonMyHindi. Bhakta will be discussing "the politics of yoga" with Samah Choudhury (Philosophy and Religion), Priya Sirohi (Writing), and Eric Steinschneider (Philosophy and Religion).
Bhakta is installing his artwork at the Handwerker Gallery this week, and Thursday is opening day. His installation, entitled Why You So Negative, is an update of an earlier piece, #WhitePeopleDoingYoga, which was shown, to much controversy, at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum in 2014.
All members of the IC community are invited to attend.
