Business School instructor Ed Catto will be lecturing at GeekArt CONfluence. The annual convention, sponsored and hosted by Syracuse University, is focused on creativity, inclusion, and diversity in pop culture. It will take place in-person and online on Sunday, March 27 from 10am-6pm EST.
The in-person convention will be located in the Shaffer Art Building at Syracuse University. The online part of the event will take place over Zoom, and will be available to all, regardless of location.
Catto will be speaking on the misguided, albeit well-intentioned, efforts of Marvel creators in the early 70s, who were looking to leverage current events into their ongoing narratives.
