The newest version of DegreeWorks 5.0.6 became available in February 2022. The Office of the Registrar in partnership with Information Technology is embarking on an exciting project plan to update our DegreeWorks software. This project will also allow for innovative upgrades to the infrastructure that supports DegreeWorks.
It is important that institutionally we stay current and up to date with versions of software. As per our vendor Ellucian, “We encourage customers to stay current with releases so multiple jumps are not required when processing a new release upgrade”. There is no cost to Ithaca College as upgrades are part of the natural life cycle of technology.
Many upgrades happen on campus that go unnoticed. The reason we are communicating today is DegreeWorks will have a new look that will be noticed! These large upgrades also give us an opportunity to check in with our community on how the software is performing and collect feedback to consider during the configuration stages of the upgrade where we can.
