Do you have content to share?

This is a picture of the Wellness Wheel that illustrates the following areas: emotional, occupational, intellectual, environmental, financial, social, physical, and spiritual.

The Wellness Dimensions Wheel.

Ithaca College’s Wellness Leadership Council seeks your ideas and content. We are compiling learning content and resources for use within the classroom, and outside of the classroom, regarding all aspects of wellness, such as social, environmental, intellectual, career, financial, spiritual, emotional, and physical. Further descriptions of these areas of wellness are outlined below.

Emotional - Being attentive to and understanding your own feelings. Expressing emotions in a constructive way. Enhancing your inner resources to manage stress, cope with life's challenges, and build resilience.

Environmental - Creating and occupying healthy, pleasant, and stimulating environments that support well-being at home, work, and throughout our local and global communities. Living in harmony with the Earth by taking action to protect it.

Financial - Understanding current and possible future financial situations. Having the ability to successfully manage financial resources to meet individual needs.

Intellectual - Harnessing our creative abilities and expanding our knowledge and skills for personal and community betterment. Through participation in scholarly, cultural, personal, and community activities we open our minds to new ideas

Physical - Caring for our physical selves with adequate sleep, physical activity, healthy eating,

Illness/injury prevention and treatment, to promote optimal health and well-being.

Social - Building healthy, respectful, and supportive relationships in which diversity and cultural identity are embraced; Fostering genuine connections with those around you; Thriving in different social situations.

Spiritual - Expanding a sense of purpose and meaning in life, including morals and ethics individually and in the community. This may or may not involve religious and spiritual activities.

Occupational - Aligning our work, whether academic, job/career, or volunteer, with our passions, values, skills, and needs to find satisfaction and enrichment.

We are looking for content in any of these areas that can be interacted with for five, fifteen, or fifty minutes, or as a homework assignment. We are planning to share these great ideas via an open repository so that everyone on campus can use them.
