Department of Finance and International Business is pleased to announce results of this year's Ithaca College School of Business High School Investment Competition!
The competition aims at fostering investment education at the high school level. Every year, it runs from the beginning of November through the end of March of the following year. Each high school team starts the competition with $1mm dollars to invest with the opportunity to trade equities listed on any U.S. stock exchange. Over the years, an average of 650 high school students have participated in about 75 teams, spread across 11 states from Maryland to Maine. The awards are evenly divided, with half going to the high school and the other half equally divided between the team members from that school.
A total of 633 high school students competed in 2021-22 AY competition.
First Place: Goody’s Goonzzz, New Hartford high school, New Hartford, NY ($3000)
Second Place: Lions of Wall Street, Hope-Solebury School, New Hope, PA ($2000)
Third Place: Stock Nation, St. Dominic Academy, Jersey City, NJ ($1000)
The Ithaca College High School competition was started by Professor Abraham Mulugetta and Professor Joseph Cheng. Since 2015, the administration of the competition has been led by Professor Jason Muenzen, every single year since then.
Congratulations to all winners of this year’s competition!
