Social Support among Latin Americans and Caribbean-Born People
Hello, students in my undergraduate research team and I are conducting a study to examine the influences of culture and subjective well-being on social support and help-seeking behaviors in current society among Latin American and Caribbean born adults. This information will help us learn about differences in expectations and norms about relationships between an individual and their social network and whether these affects how and whether individuals seek and use social support. In addition, this study will help undergraduate psychology students gain experience conducting research and presenting research findings at conferences.
If you agree to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete an online survey that will take approximately 30 to 60 minutes to complete. It is preferable to take this survey in a computer, but you can also use your phone or tablet. The survey will inquire about your cultural values, your subjective well-being, your social support behaviors, and some sociodemographic information.
The possible risks of participating in this study include anxiety and stress caused by some of the questions. You are permitted to skip any questions that you would prefer not to answer, and you may discontinue the study at any time. The survey is anonymous which means we do not ask questions that can be used to identify you.

You may participate in this survey if:
