Psychology Professor and Undergraduate Students Contribute to 45-Country Research on Moral Judgments, Published in Nature Human Behaviour

By Leigh Ann Vaughn, April 18, 2022

How universal are moral judgments? Including participants from 45 countries, Bagó et al. (2022) found that the situational factors that affect moral reasoning are shared across countries – with little observed cultural variation.

The paper "Situational factors shape moral judgments in the trolley dilemma in Eastern, Southern, and Western countries in a culturally diverse sample" was published on April 14, 2022, in Nature Human Behaviourhttps://www.nature.com/articles/s41562-022-01319-5

Professor Leigh Ann Vaughn developed the IRB proposal for Ithaca College, managed data collection here, and helped edit the paper, and her Social and Personality Research Team students collected data.
