School of Business' Live Pop-Up

By Edward Catto, April 18, 2022

Pop-Up Start-Up's Event in the School of Business Today

Today is the day that School of Business Pop-Up Start-Up students will be getting hands-on experience with planning, promoting and managing a Pop-Up.

This morning, students will be running a Pop-Up in the Business School's coffee lobby with stickers, free coffee, bagels, trivia contests and Instagram-ready moments.   Via's Cookies created by a local DEMO DAY winner Oliva Carpenter, will also be sampled at this event.  All collaborations and creative materials, including the stickers, have been designed by students. Ostensibly, the purpose of this Pop-Up is to promote the new Entrepreneurship & Innovation Minor, but it's also designed to give these students an opportunity to plan, promote and manage an event.

"The students have done a great job incorporating the entrepreneurial concepts we've been discussing all semester into this event," said Instructor Ed Catto. "But in live events, anything can happen, so they will have to be on their toes today."
The event takes place this morning, April 18th, from 10:50 am to 12:15 pm in the School of Business. All are invited.
