ITHACON, celebrating leadership, entrepreneurism, and creativity is an event planned and run by students enrolled in the School of Business’ innovative course Ithacon: Promoting and Managing Conventions. This weekend, ITHACON is excited to welcome back alumnus Will Dennis as the 2022 Guest of Honor.
Dennis is an experienced editor with a rich history the publishing industry. For over 15 years, Dennis served as a Group Editor for Warner Brother’s DC/VERTIGO division, editing some of their most acclaimed titles, including 100 Bullets, Scalped, Y: The Last Man, DMZ, Joker and Before Watchman. He is also Author of The Art of Jock, published by Insight Editions and Mondo.
Recently, Dennis took an entrepreneurial gamble to create a unique role as a freelance editor-at-large. Buoyed by his impressive skill set and strong reputation within the industry, Dennis has developed a new niche, and is currently spearheading Amazon’s efforts for the ComiXology Originals series.
“Will has been a gracious and generous alumnus as both a guest speaker and a mentor to graduating students,” said Ed Catto, an instructor at Ithaca College’s School of Business. “It’s an honor to roll out the red carpet for this creative entrepreneur and welcome him back to campus as our ITHACON Guest of Honor.”
