Student Leaders Present at National Learning Assistance Conference
Kudos to Devi de Oliveira and Isabella Di Giacopo!
The session followed a student in their journey to using peer tutoring and success coaching. The facilitators explored barriers to learning, resources on campus and in the greater community, and equitable education. Further, they examined the ways in which effective peer educators can cater to a student's learning and personality to better assist them. The facilitators explored the benefits of working as a peer-mentor.
The intent of this year's conference was to respond to continuing changes in our global world and local contexts. ACTLA sought to encourage and inform learning assistance professionals as well as empower students to grow and learn against great odds. Participants were invited to consider ways of transforming learning pedagogies with students at the center.
