Final Grading Timeline Spring 2022

Last day of semester classes & Block II: Friday, May 6.

Reading day: Monday, May 9.

Finals begin: Tuesday, May 10.

Final Grading Opens: Wednesday, May 11, 9:00am.

Incomplete Grading Option Opens in IC Workflow: Wednesday, May 11, 9:00am.

Grade Changes Open: Wednesday, May 11, 9:00am.

Students Can Begin Viewing Final Submitted Grades: Wednesday, May 11, 9:00am, via DegreeWorks. GPA will not be calculated.

All Grades Due: Friday, May 20 at 5pm.

System Closes for All Grade Processes: Friday, May 20 at 5pm. (including Grade changes and Incompletes)

IC Workflow Approvers

Must Complete Processing: Monday, May 23rd, at 9:00am.

Final GPA and Academic Standing Complete: Monday, May 23rd, at 3:00pm.

System Reopens for Grade Change Processing: Monday, May 23rd, at 3:00pm.

How to prepare: Ensure you can login to HomerConnect (and Duo). If you need assistance, please contact registrar@ithaca.edu.

Review your roster: Are all of the students attending your class on the roster? Do you have students that have never attended? If you have questions regarding the status of the students on your roster contact registrar@ithaca.eduThis will reduce the number of NGS grades.

How to post grades? Based on your feedback, here is an updated how to video.

What is Last Day of Attendance (LDA)? This only needs to be assigned for students that have a grade of F. If you are assigning a grade of F to a student you will need to enter the LDA to be able to save the grade roster. If you are assigning a grade of F to a student who has never attended your class please enter the LDA as the first day of the term:

·         Spring term began 1/24/22

·         Spring term block II began 3/21/22

When students receive federal aid and fail to successfully complete one course within a given semester (for example, earning all F’s), we are required to determine the last day the student attended class or engaged in an academic activity.  

Incomplete grades: can be submitted by faculty via IC Workflow until Friday, May 20 at 5pm.  After this date, only NGS (no grade submitted) can be changed to an incomplete grade via IC Workflow using the grade change form in IC workflow (aka you cannot change a posted letter grade to an Incomplete grade).  All Incomplete grades must be reviewed and approved by the Dean’s Office no later than Monday, May 23rd, at 9:00am.

Grade Changes: Once a grade has been rolled the only way to modify the grade is via a grade change in IC Workflow.  The Grade Change workflow for fall grading will be available starting Wednesday, May 11, 9:00am ET.  Grade changes cannot be submitted from: Friday, May 20 at 5pm until Monday, May 23rd, at 3:00pm.

Final GPA and Academic Standing: Monday, May 23rd, at 3:00pm.

Please note: if a student views a grade for which they have chosen the S/D/F grading option before the Office of the Registrar ‘rolls grades’ the student will see the assigned grade. Once grades are rolled the grade will convert to the S/D/F option.
