Session Description: Sister Circles are conducted with a restorative framework, an indigenous practice that promotes community and connection. This introductory workshop will provide information on what sister circles are, how to conduct them, and in what contexts they can be used. 

Presented by Fatima Banister, LMSW, MPA

Fatima is an experienced social worker and educator. Driven by the desire to transform people's lives, she takes pride in the work that she does in the Greater Rochester area. Currently, Fatima is a clinical social worker in private practice, and the Veteran's Administration. She is the founder of Sis Heal Yourself, a digital platform for Women of Color. Fatima is also an adjunct professor in the School of Social Work at Nazareth College where she takes joy in educating future social workers on the undergraduate and graduate level in the areas of cultural humility and cultural diversity.
