Professor Bartoszynska (Department of Literatures in English) has won the Donald Murphy Prize for Distinguished First Books in Irish Studies. The prize, awarded by the American Conference for Irish Studies, is for the best first book written on Irish literatures and cultures. Kasia's monograph, Estranging the Novel: Poland, Ireland, and Theories of World Literature, was published this fall by Johns Hopkins University Press, the leading press for 18th century studies. The Department of Literatures in English applauds Kasia for this amazing recognition.
