ICTV & WICB Win Syracuse Press Club Professional Recognition Awards

Both Stations Honored for Outstanding News & Sports Journalism

ICTV and WICB, Ithaca College's student-run television and radio stations, were honored during the Syracuse Press Club's annual Professional Recognition Awards competition. The announcement was made on Saturday, May 7th during an awards dinner and ceremony at the Collegian Hotel & Suites in Syracuse, New York.

Per SPC's website, the contest is open to journalists working in and published within the following 21 counties of New York State: Onondaga, Madison, Cortland, Cayuga, Oswego, Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Lewis, Herkimer, Oneida, Otsego, Delaware, Chenango, Broome, Tompkins and Seneca; and as far west as State Route 14 in Tioga, Chemung, Wayne, Schuyler and Yates counties.

Ithaca College Television's Emily Hung '23 and Grant Johnson '25

Ithaca College Television (ICTV) is Ithaca College's student-operated television production organization serving 26,000 Tompkins County cable households with a variety of community oriented programming. The station's programming airs locally on Spectrum Channel 16 and also streams at ictv.org.

WICB's Matthew Sosler '23 and Himadri Seth '23

WICB is Ithaca College's FCC licensed radio station, heard locally at 91.7 FM. The station is on the air 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week, 365-days-a-year. WICB also streams online at wicb.org and can be heard using the 92 WICB iOS mobile app and through iHeartRadio and TuneIn Radio.
