Ithaca College will again offer Summer Restoration Fridays from May 27, 2022 through August 5, 2022. In recognition of the extraordinary efforts of Ithaca College Staff during the academic year, Summer Restoration Fridays provide full days off to all full-time, benefits-eligible staff during the summer months. Payroll Services, in the Office of Human Resources, would like to provide the following information to assist employees and supervisors in completing and approving timecards in IC HR Cloud.
All non-exempt, benefits eligible, biweekly employees who work on Restoration Friday, will be compensated at their regular rate plus receive supplemental hours to use at a later date. These hours will expire four (4) months from the accrual date.
Regularly scheduled hours Not Worked should be recorded as:
- Summer Hours Not Worked (day, evening, night) – 7.5 or 8.0
Regularly scheduled hours Worked should be recorded as:
- Summer Hours Worked (day, evening, night) – 7.5 or 8.0
- Supplemental Time Earned (day, evening, night) – 7.5 or 8.0
If you were scheduled to work a partial day, the hours will be recorded using three lines:
- Summer Hours Not Worked (day, evening, night) – 4.5
- Summer Hours Worked (day, evening, night) – 3.0
- Supplemental Time Earned – 3.0
Employees who are on medical leave will not have these hours converted to Summer Hours, and temporary and part-time workers, who are not benefit-eligible, are not entitled to the Summer Hours benefit.
Student employees who work Fridays will be paid at their regular rate for hours worked. For offices that will be fully closed on Summer Restoration Fridays, student employees are not expected to work. If work can be performed remotely and with minimal supervision, supervisors can make that arrangement with their student employee(s).
