Lynda was originally hired as "Secretary in H&S" in 1988. She moved into an administrative support role for the Anthropology and Art History departments before taking on the position of Assistant to the Dean in 2001. Since then, Lynda has been absolutely indispensable to the work of six different H&S Deans, adjusting acrobatically to the many comings and goings with unwavering grace and professionalism, and always ensuring that the office ran smoothly. Every Dean who has had the good fortune to work with Lynda found her to be unfailingly efficient, knowledgeable, discreet, and trustworthy in facilitating the important work of faculty review, faculty contracts, and other faculty-related matters.
We will miss Lynda immensely in the Dean's Office, we barely know how we will manage without her seemingly boundless institutional knowledge and experience, and we wish her a very joyful retirement.
