The newly launched School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is thrilled to kick off the 2022-23 Endowed Concert Series with Emmet Cohen Trio, brought to you by the Robert G. Boehmler Community Foundation Series. Jazz pianist Emmet Cohen, already a major rising star in the jazz world, gained an international following and set a standard for high-quality online performances when early in the pandemic he started hosting Live From Emmet's Place, a weekly gig with friends that quickly evolved into the most highly watched regular online jazz show in the world. His trio, with drummer Kyle Poole and bassist Yasushi Nakamura, will perform this Friday, August 26 at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall.
