Gouache Painting Exhibited at Finger Lakes Art Museum

Ed Catto, an instructor at Ithaca College’s School of Business, will be exhibiting artwork in this fall’s Schweinfurth Art Show.

The Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center is a multi-arts organization that emphasizes fine arts, architecture, and design. The art center encourages the work of emerging artists and promotes public participation in and appreciation of the arts through exhibitions, educational programs, and other special events designed to reach a diverse audience. This museum is located in the heart of Finger Lakes at 205 Genesee St. Auburn, NY 13021.

Catto’s piece, Girl Unknown, is an 11 x 16 gouache painting. Gouache was the preferred medium for many of the classic illustrators. Catto has recently been using this medium for his paperback covers and illustration work.

“I love being a part of the art community because so many of them, at the end of the day, are passionate entrepreneurs”, said Catto.

The show continues until October 16th. The Schweinfurth Art Center is located in Auburn, NY.
