Learn how to operate the Grass Valley Karrera video switcher

ICTV is hosting a collection of Intro to Technical Directing workshops on Tuesday 10/4 and Friday 10/7. No experience necessary. These workshops are for students who have never touched a video switcher before or need a refresher on basic operation. The workshops are being led by Thomas Kerrigan, ICTV's Director of Technical Operations.

The workshops are scheduled for the following dates and times in the Park School's Studio A:

Tuesday, October 4th
Session #1: 4:00 - 5:15 PM
Session #2: 5:15 - 6:25 PM

Friday, October 7th
Session #1: 3:00 - 4:00 PM
Session #2: 4:00 - 4:50 PM

The Intro to Technical Directing workshops will teach the very basics of the Grass Valley Karrera video switcher. Again, no experience is necessary. The workshop will cover video switching basics such as control surface layout, ME's (mix effects) and keyers, how to delegate keyers and how to route signals to Auxiliary busses. Thomas will also cover how to change wipes and set timings for transitions.
