The Ithacan named finalist for ACP Innovation Pacemaker Award

Winners to be announced at MediaFest ceremony on Oct. 28

The Associated Collegiate Press named The Ithacan one of five finalists for its Innovation Pacemaker Award last month. Three winners for the honor will be announced during the ACP Pacemaker and Individual Awards Ceremony on Friday, Oct. 28, at MediaFest, the Fall National College Media Convention, in Washington, D.C.

The Ithacan also will be inducted into ACP's Pacemaker 100 as one of the top winners of the nation's highest award in collegiate journalism Saturday, Oct. 29 during the convention.

Former Ithacan adviser Michael Serino was named to ACP's first-ever class of Pioneer Awards, in celebration of ACP's 100 years. He'll be honored during the D.C. convention alongside 100 other distinguished journalism educators and advocates.
