Public Safety Alert: Reported Burglary Incident at the Physician Assistant Studies Program instructional site on Sunday, October 16, 2022

The Ithaca Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Ithaca College’s Physician Assistant Studies Program instructional site located on the downtown Ithaca Commons. On Sunday, October 16, 2022, between 2:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., an unknown person forced entry into the building, stole a television, and was found to be sleeping in the building by an Ithaca College employee.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin beard, 5’7” to 5’9”, in his 40s, wearing camouflage pants, a white t-shirt, black combat-style boots, and a black kitchen apron at the time of the incident.

The suspect fled the scene and has not yet been identified by the Ithaca Police Department.

The Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management is working closely with the Ithaca Police Department to support the ongoing investigation.
