You know that box or bag? You know, the one you have sitting in your closet/corner of your house/back of your car? The one with the clothes you’ve been meaning to drop off at ReUse or Thrifty Shopper to donate? No need to leave campus anymore!
The LGBT Center, Open Pages RLC and the Center for Creative Technology are hosting a FREE gender-expansive clothing swap, with drop-in tailoring and upcycling assistance available in the CCT Makerspace on Thursday, November 17th from 3-5:30.
The clothing swap will take place in the LGBT Center from Nov 14th-17th during open business hours, 8:30-5pm. Donations will be accepted at drop boxes in 3 locations on campus, from November 4th-11th. Donation Drop boxes will be in the CCT Makerspace, the LGBT Center and by the Information Desk in Campus Center.
We ask that you please only donate clothes that have been cleaned, as free of pet hair as possible, are relatively free of rips, stains, and holes, but also... this event is also an opportunity to revitalize any clothes that could use a refresh!
For individuals with disabilities requiring accommodation, we ask that you please reach out to Grace Dosdall at gdosdall@ithaca.edu as soon as possible.
