Stop by the Fitness Center to Learn How You Can Save a Life!

On Wednesday, November 16, the Healing Hearts Collaborative organization will be at the Fitness Center from 4:30-7pm to provide lifesaving, opioid overdose training. Opioid overdose and Naloxone training will take 5-minutes, and students, faculty, and staff will receive Naloxone kits.

For context, “Healing Hearts Collaborative is an organization that has the goal of getting [Naloxone] out to as many people as possible, and getting as many people trained in administering [Naloxone] as possible.”

By participating in this brief training, students, faculty, and staff will learn how to prevent and reverse an opioid overdose, through learning about opioids including fentanyl, signs of an overdose, and providing Naloxone.

This event is endorsed by the Alcohol & Other Drugs Team, Ithaca College Responsibility, JED Campus Committee, and the Prevention Education Network.
