Join Habitat for Humanity for a discussion led by our Advocacy Chair Richie Morris about the modern housing crisis. This meeting will discuss the issues and vulnerabilities with the systems and processes in place that make housing and rent virtually impossible for those who need it the most. The presentation will delve into the current markets of buying or renting a home, evictions, issues regarding “affordable” housing units, social and political stigmas, and more. The discussion will also talk about the realistic ways we can find a solution to this problem, and how we as individuals can help. This meeting will be hosted by the Student Leadership Institute, and members in attendance will be able to receive SLI credit. This meeting will take place on November 15th in Williams 211 at 6pm. We hope to see you there!
