Fulfills ICC requirements for Diversity and Writing Intensive 

Dr. Stephen Tropiano, professor of screen studies / director, Ithaca College Los Angeles Program 

Electronic Media Criticism focuses on the representation of race, gender, gender identity, and sexuality on American television. The course is designed to cultivate your critical thinking and writing skills as we examine classical and contemporary television prime time programming. The screening list for includes Atlanta, Insecure, Parks and Recreation, Pose, Dear White People, Fresh Off the Boat, Blackish, The George Lopez Show, Jane the Virgin, and Master of None.

The course fulfills ICC requirements for Diversity and Writing Intensive.
