Updated Hours for Campus Resources Available During Winter Break

Ithaca College will have some alterations to the typical services and resources available to individuals remaining on campus during the Winter Break. Please be aware that many areas will have more limited hours and/or will be closed during the period of Monday, December 19, until the beginning of the Spring 2023 semester on Monday, January 23. As a reminder, the college will also be fully closed from Saturday, December 24, through Monday, January 2. Please keep reading for more information on the various campus support resources that will have altered availability.

Please note that this list may not encompass every area that will have altered availability during the coming weeks. For more information on a particular service or office that is not listed, please visit their website and/or contact that office directly.

Ithaca College Dining Services

Ithaca College Dining Services will have significant updates to its hours of operation beginning Monday, December 19, and extending through the winter break.

Campus Center Dining Hall and Food Court at IC Square

The Campus Center Dining Hall and the retail dining option at IC Square will be closed Friday, December 16, through Sunday, January 16. Please stay tuned for additional hours updates as we get closer to the start of the Spring 2023 semester. The Campus Center Dining Hall and IC Square plans to resume operations during the week of January 16-22.

Terrace Dining Hall, Campus Center Express and Other Retail Dining Locations
The Terrace Dining Hall, Campus Center Express, and additional retail dining locations in the School of Business, Park School of Communications, CHS, and the Library will be closed for the entirety of the winter break. Hours of operation plans to resume at the start of the Spring 2023 semester on Monday, January 23.

Please note that the Ithaca Bakery retail dining location will hold limited dining operations on Monday, December 19, and Tuesday, December 20, from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The Ithaca Bakery dining location will be closed from Wednesday, December 21, and plans to resume operations in conjunction with the Campus Center Dining Hall and Food Court at IC Square during the week of January 16-22.

Ithaca College Food Pantry

The Ithaca College Food Pantry will continue to host regular hours during winter break. The food pantry will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00-2:00 p.m.

Please note that the IC Food Pantry will be closed during the final week of December in conjunction with the college closure and will not have open hours on Tuesday, December 27, or Thursday, December 29.

Fitness Center

The Ithaca College Fitness Center will be closed during the final weeks of December. It will resume operations with reduced hours in January. Please continue to visit the linked website for updates once the January schedule is confirmed.

Health Center

Ithaca College Student Health Services will be closed to all clinical appointments during the winter break period from Monday, December 19, through Sunday, January 22.

The Health Center can be contacted by phone for administrative questions only during the week of December 19-23, as well as the remainder of winter break from Tuesday, January 3, through Sunday, January 22.

Like the college, the Health Center will be closed to all operations during the college break from Saturday, December 24, through Monday, January 2.

Students experiencing a medical emergency or are need of urgent clinical care during hours the Health Center is closed should refer to this webpage for more information.

COVID-19 Testing at Boothroyd Hall

COVID-19 testing at Boothroyd Hall will have the following changes to its hours of operation during the winter break.

Monday, December 19 – Friday, December 23

Testing will be open for normal daily operation hours from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, December 24 – Monday, January 2

Testing will be closed in conjunction with the college’s winter break.

Tuesday, January 3 – Sunday, January 22

Testing operations will resume for the remainder of the winter break with daily hours 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Testing will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Please visit the college’s public health website for additional information, including the upcoming changes to the college’s isolation and wrap-around support structure set to go into effect in the coming weeks.

CAPS

The Office of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will have normal hours of operation during the college’s business hours and will be available for virtual appointments. Please note that CAPS is not licensed for virtual appointments with any student who is not currently located within New York State.

CAPS will be closed Saturday, December 24, through Monday, January 2, in conjunction with the college’s closure for winter break, however individuals are always able to utilize the CAPS After-Hours On-Call Service 24-hours per day, 365 days per year. To reach this service, please dial (607) 274-3136 and follow the prompts. This service is available to all individuals regardless if their current location is within or outside of New York State.

Campus Center

The Ithaca College Campus Center will have some reduced hours of operation during winter break.

Monday, December 19 – Friday, December 23

The Campus Center will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. each day. The lone exception will be Tuesday, December 20, where the Campus Center will have extended hours from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, December 24 – Monday, January 2

The Campus Center will be closed in conjunction with the college’s winter break closure.

Tuesday, January 3 – Tuesday, January 17

The Campus Center will resume reduced hours of operation during the college’s regular business hours Monday through Friday with daily operations from 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

The Campus Center will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays during this period, while it will also be closed on Monday, January 16, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Wednesday, January 18 – Sunday, January 22

The Campus Center will expand hours of operation from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily, which includes both Saturday, January 21, and Sunday, January 22.

Normal Campus Center hours will resume on Monday, January 23, from 7:00 a.m. to midnight daily.

Office of Residential Life

There will be a limited number of Residential Life staff present on campus to address lock-outs and other support requests. Refer to the duty schedule on the entrance doors of each building for information about the Resident Assistant (RA) or Apartment Assistant (AA) covering your area of campus. 

All students residing on campus are required to complete the December Break Occupancy Form prior to the 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022. Residence Halls reopen for students, living in the same room as their fall room, on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 1:00pm.  Circle and Garden Apartments, Eastman, Tallcott, and Terrace 6 remain open during Winter break.
