Monday, January 30th
The Career Opportunities Week will kick off with learning opportunities and an open house from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30th that includes a resumé writing workshop, an info session on how to get the most out of the career fair, a best resumé contest, milk and Via’s cookies, and an opportunity to see our resource space and ask our team questions.
Tuesday, January 31st
There will also be a Career and Internship Fair on Tuesday, January 31st from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in Emerson Suites, with more than 80 employers from around the region and across the country representing numerous career fields. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, build your network, and even interview for a career or summer internship!
Wednesday, February 1st
On Wednesday, February 1st, join the Director of the Center for Career Exploration and Development and the Director of the MLK Scholars and First Generation Students for an information session created for first generation college students focusing on tips and advice for how to navigate your career journey.
Thursday, February 2nd
Thursday's special event is a collaboration between the Center for Career Exploration and Development, the Center for IDEAS, and the Office of Access, Opportunity, and Achievement. The Intercultural Career Connections Panel (ICCP) is an IC tradition! Join the conversation with a group of recent alumni representing diverse identities and professions as they discuss their personal and professional journeys, accomplishments, and the challenges they have negotiated along the way. You can also stick around afterwards for some food and the opportunity to network with alumni.
Friday, February 3rd
Then on Friday, February 3rd, learn to feel confident in your job search, and never settle for something that doesn't fit YOU! Join the Center for Career Exploration and Development, and the Center for IDEAS for a session on job search strategies focused on addressing diverse needs and interests.
