Our most beloved celebration is ON- in honor of the Jewish holiday Tu B'shevat. What is Tu B'shevat? Tu B'Shvat is a Jewish holiday occurring on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat. It is also called Rosh HaShanah La'Ilanot, literally 'New Year of the Trees'. In contemporary Israel, the day is celebrated as an ecological awareness day, and trees are planted in celebration. On our campus we celebrate by planting the cutest little succulent terrariums for you to take home, eating special holiday foods like nuts and fruits, and doing a little learning from the perspective of Judaism.
