As we wrap up the first week of the spring 2023 term, I want to share some staffing updates within the Office of the Registrar.
Kate Miller is taking an exciting next step in her career in the newly created role of Assistant University Registrar for Academic Technology, Planning & Design at Cornell University. This opportunity was only possible because of the experience and knowledge Kate gained at Ithaca College over the past 3 years with the Office of the Registrar and the 3 years she spent prior to that with the Academic Advising Center as an Academic Advisor. Kate is grateful to the Office of the Registrar team, and the Ithaca College staff, faculty, and administrators who encouraged, challenged, and supported her throughout her time as the Assistant Registrar for Curriculum Management. Kate’s last day with Ithaca College is Friday, February 3, please stop by PRW 1st floor to offer well wishes.
Sarah Gamarra joined the Office of the Registrar in 2019 as a Certification Specialist. Sarah is the human behind many of the digital services offered within the Office of the Registrar. Sarah will be moving into the role of Assistant Registrar for Curriculum Management upon Kate’s departure. Thank you to Kate for the transfer of knowledge and training that has been provided to ensure a smooth transition of support for our curriculum processes. Sarah thank you for being a “sponge” and welcome to your new role.
Holley Westbrook began her dedicated service at Ithaca College 25 years ago in the Office of Financial Aid and transitioned to the Office of the Registrar in 2010 as a Certification Specialist. In recent years, Holley has held the title of Credit Evaluation Coordinator. As Holley does much more for students, faculty, and staff than credit evaluation, it is an honor to announce her new title of Assistant Registrar. Holley supports our veterans and their families, manages domestic and international credit evaluations, and offers support in all Office of the Registrar functions. Holley, congratulations on 25 years at Ithaca College.
Cindy Clark joined Ithaca in 2014 as the Assistant Registrar for Student Services after serving 6 years at Cayuga Community College in their Registrar’s Office. Cindy supports student success, commencement, degree conferrals, oversees degree audits for our students as well as other functions in the Office of the Registrar. I am honored to share Cindy’s new title of Senior Assistant Registrar for Student Services. Cindy, thank you for your expertise and elevating graduation for our students as one of the many contributions you make to IC.
Our mighty service team is rounded out with the knowledge and expertise provided by Stu Fegely, Alexander Peroulakis, and Tinita Wheaton that each offer excellence in service and talent to the Ithaca College community. A position for a new specialist will be posted shortly, feel free to reach out if you are interested in joining our team via email to vlevine@ithaca.edu.
