Earth Sonrod, Math Major; Kate Tanner, Biology Major; and Colin Leyner, Exploratory; completed a final project in their Number Theory course in Fall 2021 taught by Professor Osman Yürekli. Earth continued to work on the project in his Undergraduate Research Experience Course during Spring 2022 jointly taught by Professors Megan Martinez and Osman Yürekli.
Earth extended the result and presented his results at the 20th International Conference on Fibonacci Numbers and Their Applications at the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia, July 25 - 29, 2022.
Following the suggestions of the conference organizers and his faculty advisor, he kept working on improving the article draft during the Fall 2022. The paper was finally accepted for publication in Fibonacci Quarterly and published in December 2022.
