On June 30, 2022, two senior staff members of the Finance and Administration team retired – AVP for Facilities and AVP for Auxiliary Services. After a full national search, I am please to announce that both positions have been filled:
Associate Vice President for Auxiliary Services – Jeff Golden
Jeff joined Ithaca College in 2018, starting as a Director of General Services. Upon graduating from Alfred University, Jeff held a variety of service-related positions (from event planning to marketing/ sales). Most recently, Jeff served as the Senior Director of Auxiliary Services here at the College, helping launch new initiatives such as the short-term rental of our vacant housing stock. Jeff started as the AVP on 11/1/2022.
Associate Vice President for Facilities – Ernie McClatchie
Ernie joined Ithaca College in 2003, holding a variety of positions both in Athletics and Facilities. Ernie also received his Bachelor and Master degrees from Ithaca College. Through progressive advancements, Ernie most recently served as the Executive Director for Maintenance, Grounds, and Transportation, even helping support Facilities Services on a day-to-day basis with the recent departure of the Director. Ernie started as the AVP on 1/1/2023.
While both searches had many qualified candidates, I am delighted that both positions have been filled with dedicated and committed internal candidates. With these positions now staffed, I will be working with each new AVP to look at their organization to assess what, if any, organizational changes should be made.
While many of you probably already know Ernie and Jeff, please help me in congratulating them on their successful search and well-deserved new positions.
