Associate Professor Yvette Sterbenk, in the Communications Management and Design (CMD) program, was awarded a grant by HubSpot to work on a "last lecture:" a final presentation capturing the most important lessons, insights, tips, and best practices on a topic of your choice. Traditionally, Last Lectures occur during the last class session of a semester or quarter and have a bold point of view on a given topic.
Professor Sterbenk was one of four professors nationwide to be awarded the HubSpot x SMProfs Last Lecture Grant. Her lecture is titled Using Social Media for Corporate Activism. The grant will support her work to complete a full version of the lecture by the end of 2023, which will be made available to other professors who teach social media courses.
