Call for 2023-2024 Dana Teaching Fellow

By Colette Matisco, March 7, 2023

The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) seeks a faculty member for one-year fellowship with the 2023-2024 Dana Teaching Fellows Program. Dana Fellows are exemplary instructors and scholars who engage in development and scholarly activities that focus on teaching, contribute to their professional development, and support other faculty members. For the upcoming academic year, the CFE seeks a faculty member who will collaborate with CFE directors and other Fellows to contribute to the New Faculty Institute (NFI) and Early Career Excellence Institute (ECEI) at the CFE.

Duration of this fellowship will be for one academic year. Fellows receive reassigned time for one course and a $3,000 stipend, plus support for professional development. The Dana Foundation provides departments with the funding to cover reassigned time during the fellowship. The Dana Fellows Program is open to all tenured and tenure-eligible faculty members as well as long-term non-tenure-eligible faculty members.

Application Guidelines

To apply, submit your CV and one-page letter of interest outlining your experience mentoring early career faculty and/or participation in related CFE programs (e.g., NFI, ECEI). Applications should be emailed to cfe@ithaca.edu by April 1. The fellowship award offer will be pending department chair and dean approvals.

Finalists for the fellowships will be interviewed by CFE Leadership, who will then make the selection. Contact the Center for Faculty Excellence for further information regarding the Dana Fellows Program.
