The focus of this panel is Title IX Through the Lens of Gender and Race Intersectionality: Not All Women Athletes Benefit Equally. Our panelists include Kirsten Hextrum (Assistant Professor of Language, Culture, and Society; Oregon State University); Katelyn Hutchison (IC SPME & MBA ’22, Master’s Candidate – Sport Leadership and Member, Women’s Track & Field, University of Kentucky); Joyce Ogunrinde (Assistant Professor, Kinesiology-Sport Management, University of Houston), and F. Michelle Richardson, Ph.D. (Associate Professor, Sport Management, Coppin State & President, NORTH AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR THE SOCIOLOGY OF SPORT). Erienne Roberts (Deputy Athletic Director, Ithaca College) will offer opening remarks and serve as a discussant.
