Please join the Center for Faculty Excellence and Dr. David Harker, Director of the Center for Civic Engagement, on Thursday, April 6th at 9:35am for "Teaching Strategies: Building Community through Hands On Learning". This brunch workshop will offer resources and strategies for implementing effective civic engagement practices into your teaching, specifically with the purpose of building community. In our conversation, we will consider "community" in terms of your own classroom, Department, Ithaca College, our local region, and beyond! Participants will also discuss challenges, find out about available resources, and be given the opportunity to apply the concepts to your own courses.
